Kantha Quilted Sari Throw
A Giraffe up cycled favorite: These unique throws are made by a women's cooperative in Calcutta, India using second-hand saris and stitched together using the Kantha quilting and stitching techniques practiced by rural women of the region. Kantha means "throat" in Sanskrit. The Beauty of these throws gives a voice to the poorest of the poor while empowering women.
Each Throw is approximately 70x36, truly one of a kind, and different from end to end and side to side, allowing versatility and a delicious pop of color for your favorite chair, or draped at the foot of a bed. Also with the use of our textile holders it can be a beautiful wall textile.
There are no two exactly alike, so if you would please let us know what colors work best and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences
